High-adventure trip to Northern Tier - 2018
For the third high-adventure trip in as many years, three crews of Scouts and Scouters headed up to the Northern Tier high adventure base in Ely, Minnesota, for a 6-day, 5-night adventure on the water. Scouts developed skills in portaging a canoe, backpacking, high-adventure camping, and canoeing, just to name a few. In addition, they were able to benefit from many character-building activities like hanging bear bags, using a pit toilet, and being the "happy spooner," or the person who eats all the leftover bits at the end of a meal. In addition, there was paddling - lots and lots of paddling. However, all these factors contributed to a great experience that left us a little sad that we had to leave. Onwards and upwards, boys - huzzah!

Everyone must believe in something. I believe I'll go canoeing.
